In collaboration with director Ben Hibon, Axis Studios created the short film, Infinity Blade: Origins. The film serves as the dramatic opening for Infinity Blade III, the latest in ChAIR’s video game series.
The film refines the world of knights, demons, and immortals into a two minute narrative that’s packed with action – this creates a new perspective for both newcomers and fans. It starts with the forging of the Infinity Blade, before following the sword’s story as it wages terror and defeats evil in equal measure.
The art style took an illustrative form using both 2D and 3D animation – Hibon also challenged the team at ChAIR, reimagining the game’s key characters in his own unique style.
