Axis Studios created the TVC for Sony Playstation’s Days Gone, an action-adventure, survival-horror video game produced by Bend Studio. The project was adapted from an original idea by AKQA, the agency in charge of marketing. Axis set out to create a commercial that communicated multiple and complex elements of the experience, revealing spectacular in-game footage to prospective audiences.

Director, Stu Aitken, built the concept around a key shot in the sequence showing Deacon – the story’s protagonist – chambering his last remaining bullet in the rain, surrounded by illuminated dead bodies that trigger brief, action-packed flashbacks.
