Re-uniting with Amazon Games Axis Studios created the release trailer for Rise of the Angry Earth, an expansion for the hit MMO New World. Directed by Abed Abonamous, the trailer consists of a mostly continuous shot, and is set from the perspective of a wolf as he journeys through an increasingly alien landscape. A story is told through lush and breathtaking imagery, reflecting the epic adventure of the game. The trailer teases new features, weapons, zones, characters and intriguing stories to be uncovered.
The wolf, the main character throughout the trailer, highlights the relationship between the wolf and the human and the newest fan inspired feature, taming and riding animals. Creating the wolf and the different Beast Lords required close collaboration between Axis’ teams from concept, to modeling, to rigging, to groom, to create truly wild believable creatures in pixel perfect detail.
